We are soldering solar cells together to form strings. Nine cells to a string, four strings to a module, equals 36 cells, about 16 - 20 Volts @ 60 Watts, depending on solar conditions. This size voltage will charge a 12 Volt battery system.
The strings are placed on backing sheet and silicone encapsulant is applied on cells. Then the tempered glass is placed over the cells.
Adding wiring for final connections and we're ready for framing.
We will add a junction box to connect one module to another.

And we have a finished 60Watt PV module!
We want to make this solar technology available to groups and communities anywhere! We need support and feedback from those who would like to help. Please post a comment and get this blog rolling! Thanks - John
